In addition to Wild Yam (dioscorea villosa), Modani Naturals Wild Yam Cream contains:

• Chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus): a herb that traditionally has been used to support menstrual irregularities, PMS, and menopause. 
• Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus): an Ayurvedic herb that has been traditionally used as a hormone balancer and a female tonic. 
• Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): a traditional medicinal plant with roots and berries that have been used for centuries. It's believed to help reduce stress and anxiety and enhance focus and memory. 
• Red clover (Trifolium pratense): Phytoestrogens are plant-derived compounds that have estrogen-like effects in the body. Red clover contains isoflavones, which are a type of phytoestrogen. The primary isoflavones in red clover include biochanin A, formononetin, daidzein, and genistein. These compounds can mimic estrogen in the body and are often used in supplements to help manage symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flushes and bone loss.
• Black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa): while black cohosh is commonly used to manage symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances, it does not contain significant amounts of phytoestrogens like those found in red clover or soy.
